The Apparel Human Resources Council (AHRC) currently has
several products and services of particular interest to apparel manufacturers.
Apparel Career Focus Program (wage subsidy) - The AHRC will financially assist manufacturers with up to $12,750 to hire youth who are post secondary school graduates and between the age of 15 to 30 on their start-date for positions in apparel manufacturing. Management Competencies Program - A recent study completed for the Apparel Human Resources Council (AHRC) concluded that many of the old style business models will not survive without undergoing radical change. Fortunately, it also highlighted business strategies that can be very successful in the new world order.
In response to industry requests emanating from this study, AHRC and the Government of Canada are pleased to announce the launch of a fully subsidized strategic planning program.US Market Intelligence - A Labour Market Study conducted on behalf of the Apparel Human Resources Council (AHRC) clearly indicated that the Canadian apparel industry must grow its exports. Since the release of that report, Canadian companies have lost further ground. In an effort to help turn the tide, AHRC has undertaken several important initiatives: A fully subsidized strategic planning program to help companies set their strategic direction; A US market intelligence study to help companies identify new customers; and apparel-specific export training.
